Bhagawatham-8.2--Mohini Avataram
SWAMIYE SARANAM AYYAPPA"BHOODATHI NAADA MOHINI BALA ,SHANTI THA SABARI GIREESA"
Lord Ayyappa is the Prakthyaksha deva in this Kali Yuga,who is the Varadana Prabhu blessing millions of bhakthas every year, sitting atop the Holy Shabari mountain. Every year on the Makara Sankranti day,on the 14th of January,He appears on top of the mountain as Live Jyothi for whose Darshan, His bhakthas throng that mountain ranges in millions. For them it's the sight of a life time,though they come back every year for the same BLISS again. He is the only God whose Sannidhi is open to all the bhakthas,irrespective of their religion,cast or creed. Why is Ayyappa worshipped by so many........? May be because He is son of both Vishnu and Shiva......because He's Hariharaputra........Shiva's son born to Mohini Avataram of Vishnu..........that brings us the story of Mohini Avataram.......
On the advise of Vishnu Bhagawan ,Devas call Daityas for the churning of the Ocean of Milk, to get the Amritam so that they can be safe from the tortures of the Daityas.While the Samudra Mandhan started, the first thing came out was Halahala Visham,which had to be consumed by Shiva . Thus He became the Neelakanta .Then,Surabi,the Kamadenu came up which was given to the Maha Rishis,then a horse equivalent to Uchaisravass,elephant equivalent to Airavatham,then a Deva Vriksha equivalent to Kalpaka Vriksha of the Nandanam Garden,then some Angels like Deva Strees came up.....all these were distibuted to the Devas.
Then out of the Palazhi madanam came Lakshmi Devi, the godess of wealth and godess of all the beauties put together.The Demi-gods,devas and the Asuras were all in line for Lakshmi when She came with a varamala in her hand for the swayamvaram. But there was only one HARI who was Manoharam and Varenyam in the lot and Lakshidevi did not make any mistake in the Swayamvaram.

Then came Varunidevi the enchanter,who's given to the Asuras. Then the all anticipated Amritam was brought by the beautiful Dhanwantaramurthy.The Asuras grabbed the Pot of Amritam and the Devas tried to take it from them and soon there was a scuffle between them. To solve this dispute,Lord Hari took the Avataram of Mohini,the beautiful Angel. Mohini distributed the Amritam,the nectar,to the Devas while engaging the Demons by her beauty. Lord Shiva was interested to see the Beautiful Mohini and he requested Vishnu,in Vaikunta and when Vishnu in the form of Mohini and Shiva united the birth od Ayyappa took place and He grew in the palace of Panthalam Maharaja."Swamiye saranam Ayyappa"
Our mind is the Palazhi and we have to churn it all the times . There evil thoughts are likely to come out at the first churning ,once this poison is out,the good things like the airavathams kamadenus and the mahalakshies will follow and we sure will have golden days of our lives...So let us do Mandhan of our minds...............................
