Bhagawatham-9.02--RAMA AVATARAM


ApadhamApahartharam,Dhataram sarva sampadam,
Lokabhiramam Sree Ramam , Bhooyo bhooyo namamyaham.
Aarthanam Arthi hantharam,Bheethanam
Bheethi nasanam.
Dwishatham Kaladandam Twam,Sree Ramachandram Namamyaham.

Guruvarthe..tyaktha rajyo vyacharadanu Vanam,Padma padbhyam priyaya,
Panisparsha shamabhyam mrijitha padarujo,yo Harindranujabhyam,
Vairoopyam Shoorpanakhya priya viraha rusha,Aaropitha bhroo vijrumba,
Thrasthebdir banda sethu khalada vadahana,Kosalendro avathanna.

King Dasaradha thought that Ram is grown big to take over the reigns of power from him and consulted the crown people and the Raja guru regarding it , all of them agreed for the crowning of Rama. Then the King asked the public,the common people, about Ram, all of them unanimously agreed that Ram should be the next king. So Ram could have become the king by the tradition or by the democratic way,will of the majority people,but He opted to go to the forest with Seetha and Lakshmana because He thought one should become the leader ,not because some people wanted it or some majority wanted it,but for the up-keep of the Dharmam. And here Ram should prove that Satyam is of paramount interest to him than the power. That's Guru to Him (in His Heart) and hence "Guruvarthe Tyaktha Rajyo..........................." And that we should understant is the essence of RAMA RAJYAM.
Sukadeva Bhagawan is worried who will do the pada seva for the Lord ,who had so tender feet that the soft touch of Seethadevi's hands made them red,now that He's in search of Seethadevi in the thick forests without any foot wears......................When Hanuman was with the Lord he always did the Pada seva and Seethadevi did it on other times. .......If only we can get that chance.......

Whole of Ramayana is described in just two chapters by Sukadeva Bhagawan,as he felt that this matchless Epic of India is written in many languages by many Mahatmas and no one can claim that he has told the whole of Sree Ram's virtues,such is the ocean of Ramagunas that even if one is taking bath at a small corner of it,he can get a good measure of Ram's virtues. In one sloga the whole of Ramayanam can be told or in 25,000 slogas as in Valmiki Ramayanam.
Aadho Rama thapo vananu gamanam, Hathwa mrugam kanchanam,
Vaidehi haranam, jatayu maranam, Sugreeva sambhashanam,
Bali nigrahanam, samudhra tharanam, Lanka pureem dahanam,
Paschad Ravana Kumbha karna madanam, Ethat ithi Ramayanam

Sukadeva Bhagawan describes that after the return of Rama from Lanka the Crowning ceremony was attended by all the Devatas and the whole of Ayodhya, it's a wonderful day for the people of Ayodhya,who were waiting for this day for the last 14 long years.Then it was Rama rajya for many hundred years,all the people were happy and there was no death,only if some one wanted to leave the earth,the death occured. Rama performed the Aswamedha Yagna and after the yagna He gave away all His belongings as Dhana to the priests,brahmins and Vipras. Even after all the wordly materials were given away,there came a brahmin for the dhanam. Rama wondered what He can give to the brahmin,He looked at Seethadevi. The eyes talked each other and Seethadevi started to remove Her mangala sutra to be given to the brahmin as dhanam,"............ ..........thadha rajyapi vaidehi saumangalyavasheshitha". Then the brahmin said that he just wanted to test the Highness and that he and all the other people of Ayodhya are so very well looked after by His Highness and they didn't need anything from Him except His love and all the brahmins returned the things back to Ram. That one should give away their belongings as Dhanam is another Dharmam , Sree Ram taught to His Prajas,apart from all other virtues He had.

In the Uttara Kandam , Sree Ram's Vaikuntarohanam is as eventful as His Avataram in Ayodhya as the son of Dasharadha. He asks all the people in Ayodhya including all the creatures and plants to accompany Him to the Vaikuntam and who will miss that opportunity to get the Moksham directly from the Lord Himself. But Hanumanji did not want to go to Vaikuntam with Ramji. For him where ever the Rama Nama Sankeerthanam is there, his Ramji is present very much. He is Bhaktha to the God, for Bhakthas, attainment of the God is Moksham and chanting His names is Bhakthi and Hanuman always want to remain a Bhaktha. Let Ramji bless us also with His Bhakthi all the times ....
