SHRUYATHE KRISHNA KIRTI
Most of us will admit that there is no proper english word for "Anandam". The word Happiness does not show the full "Anandam". All the means of entertainments and happiness that we seek from the outside world, may give some sort of "Sukham" or "Dukham" for a limited period of time. But "Anandam" is the permanent nature.....Swaroopam of all the living beings, it's within us and hence we have to see it within. The Lord Krishna resides in our hearts and we have to just look into our own heart to get the Anandam, because He is the personification of Anandam. And to enable us to get the inner eye to see the inner God, we have to hear the Krishna Leelas.....His Kirti from the many Krishna Premies we have in this Punya Bhoomi....Shruyathe Krishna Kirti.
Krishna Kirti is Guruvayurappan's Kirti. As one Mahatma said ..." there are a number of Krishna temples in this country. The Krishna in Madhura, His birth place, Banghe Bihari of Vrindavanam, Dwarakadheesh of Dwaraka, Krishna of Udipi and many hundreds of other Krishna temples in the country, but Krishna's correct address is ........"Krishna Guruvayurappa". In Guruvayur we have heard bhakthas chanting..Narayana, Narayana, Narayana, Narayana, Narayana, Narayana, Narayana and when the Sree Nada opens all of them should have said "Om Namo Narayana", but they say "Krishna Guruvayurappa" "Ente Kochchu Guruvayurappa". Because Narayana Namam commads respect as He is the Bhagawan and Guruvayurappan is our Unni Kannan, we have Vatsalya Bhavam with him . He is our Kunju Krishnan, Kutty Krishnan and we have "Premam" with Him, Vatsalyam with Him as we have with our own son".
At the time of Krishna Jananam the Bhagawatham says .."Twam adbudam Balakam Ambujekshanam..........."and if you see our Guruvayurappan , this is the exact Vigraham of that Balakrishnan, with Shangu, Chakram, Gadha and Padmam in each of His four hands, The Thiru Thamara Kannukal and the Thiru Abharanams as described in the Bhagawatham. He is the Adbuda Balakan because He has renounced His Vaikunta Vasam to come down to Guruvayur to give His blessings to we bhakthas. He is Adbuda Balakan because He closes His eyes for the Sins we have perpetuated and opens His eyes to shower His "Karuna" on us. His Darshanam is the Janma Saphalyam for us.
The Shastras say that when you do the" Guruvayurappa Darshanam" you have to start from His Thiru Padam to Thiru Mudi. You look at His Padams and their beauty and you stand spell-bound there, seeing His Padams alone, your allotted time for Darshan will be over. They are so enchanting with the Blue colours and the softness of Navaneetham, you only have a lust to touch them. The Kunchitha Padam and the Kunju Kunju Toes....oh God. Standing for long hours of time, giving Darshanam to the never ending line of devotees, His feet must be paining and if we are given the chance to do the Padaseva for Him......oh God. His Padams are so soft and shall we touch them with our rough hands....no...oh God. Let us do the Abhishekam to His Padams with Milk, Panchamrutham.......oh God. Or let us do the Abhishekam with our tears....Oh God. Let's apply Hari Chandanam to His Padams...oh God. Or let's offer fresh Tulasi Dalams to His Padams......oh God. Oh God ? Yes, even though He is our Kutty Krishnan , we know, He is the Para Brahmam, drinking His Charanamrutham, Punar janmam na labhyathe.
