Bhagawatham-10.02...Bala leela

"Vatsan Munchan kwachitasamaye krosasamjathahasa:,
stheyam swaddachyatha dadhi paya: kalpithai: stheyayogai:."

Putana- Bala gathagi- only pretended to feed Balakrishna with her breasts,but actually wanted to kill the child as per the wishes of Kamsa ,yet Lord Krishna thought that Putana had served Him as a mother and hence should bless her.After giving Moksha to Putana,which was the first of His Leelas, Krishna wanted that He should not be recognised by the Vrujabalas as the Bhagawan and alas.....the people of Gokul did not. And at the infant stage Balakrishna bundles out Chakatasura and Trinavarta to declare that His Leela is well and truly on. Gargacharya thought that naming Krishna is not so difficult as He has thousands of names as in the Vishnu Sahasranamam and -"...Bahuni santhi namani roopani cha sutasya the....." -named Him as "Krishna". Krishna's balaleelas are the divine stories the Bhakthas will sing and chant all the times and His most favourite leela of the steeling of His Preethi Bhoj the Vennai-butter-
has earned Him the name Navaneeta choran. Scholers give many Tatwarthas to this Leela and the story in itself very sweet to hear. Let us discuss one such tatwartha told by Mahatmas,but rarely heard by us.

This butter we churn out of the Dahi is the Punyas we accumulate from the churning out of our Dahi that is our life. And as we know that we have to offer the result of our good or bad deeds to the God---Kayena vacha Manasa indriyair wa, budyatmana wa prakrute swabhavat,Karomi yadyat sakalam parasmaiNarayanayeti samarpayami----we only chant---- and hence this butter is to be offered to the God which we are storing in the Bhandas. Krishna wants us to offer this to Him and if we dont, He is there to take it away in the process braking the Bhandas-the pots. This is more illustrated by Sree Krishna Himself when He goes begging to Karna--a dhana prabhu himself--at the time of his death and asking for Dhanam from him - in the disguise of a Brahmin as only Brahmins are allowed to take Dhanams. Karna was in a Dharma Sankata,he might have given his Jeeva -life-as a dhanam if it was not about to go away from him. And Krishna Bhagawan asks him to give away the accumulated punyas by his Dhana Dharmas to Him at the time of his death, as these punyas if offered to the God , will fetch him the Moksha.Karna was happy to know there is some thing left to give as dhanam and knew it was Bhagawan and donated all his punyas in turn getting the Divya Darshan of Lord Krishna at the dying moments for which Maharshis and Munis do Tapas for many janmas.
"Ekata gruhadaseeshu yashoda nandagehini,
karmantharaniyukthasu nirmamantha swayam dadhi"
Oneday singing the glories of Balakrishna ,Yashoda was churning the Dahi herself,when Krishna came for the milk. Yashoda was feeding the young Krishna when the milk was overflowing on the stove,she rushed back to the kitchen after leaving Krishna on the floor,which made the Lord very angry. He thought Yashoda is not interested in the God and was looking for the worldly things such as milk,He broke the Dahi Bhanda and spilled the Dahi all over the places. Yashoda on return got angry with the Lad and tried to tie Him down on the Ulukhal, all the times finding herself short of two inches of the rope, until Krishna submitted to her love and got Himself tied by the rope to the Ulukhal. On the way Krishna liberated the sons of Kubera,Nalakubara and Manigreeva,from their Narada - Shapam. And Krishna earned the name of Damodara by the rope marks on his waist by this Bandanam.........The Lord who is above all the Bandanams -bondages-of the Universe is however boundable by the Pure Love of His Bhakthas....
